The new Kenworth T660 whch was officially introduced at this years Mid America Truck Show in Louisville KY has definitely been received by the trucking industry with a big smile. From it's sleek aerodynamic lines to ultra modern interior the T660 is poised to carry on the legendary heritage of the Kenworth T600.

What is so special about the T660? A sleeker more aerodynamic shape allows for great fuel efficiency in todays high fuel price world. One of the first things you will notice about the T660 are the new halogen lights and larger grill. The front end has been re-designed to incorporate a longer lasting halogen lighting system that provides up to 40 percent more light for low beam and 75 percent more light for the optional high intensity discharge configuration. In addition to more light, the life span of the light has increased dramatically. The Kenworth T660 grill is 5% larger than that of its predecessor which translates to increased engine cooling and reduction in fuel usage.

Interior updates are just what todays OTR drivers have ordered. A GPS system is standard on the Diamond cab interior and optional on the Spendor interior with a new driver's display that shows fuel economy in real time, an ignition timer, on board diagnostic system, truck system configuration reporting system, gear display and an electronic alarm clock to boot.

With a new innovative seating configuration the truck's occupants will be provided with four additional inches of sleeper access as the armrests can now be folded away behind the seats. The seats also have been upgraded with new durable, high quality material with fresh styling, colors, patterns and textures.

All in all, it appears that Kenworth has another great truck that will keep truck drivers happy for years to come.
