The company uDrove LLC has released a software program that it said will handle all of the trucking industry’s compliance management needs with a smart phone.

CRST Malone Offers Lease Purchase Program, Sign-On Bonus

Truckload carrier CRST Malone has introduced a new lease purchase program as well as a sign-on bonus offer of up to $1,000 through mid-March for new owner-operators.

“In our new lease purchase plan, payments can be as low as $200 per week with $0 down for trucks that are approximately three years old,” said Sherri Cook, CRST Malone director of recruiting. “Lease purchase drivers also receive 100 percent of fuel surcharge and 75 percent of gross line haul average.”

Trade group says trucking shipment index rose by 2.1 percent last month, but still volatile

The trucking industry’s main trade group said Wednesday a key index measuring U.S. trucking shipments rose by 2.1 percent last month, but a top economist warned that the industry — and the broader economy — isn’t out of the woods yet.
